Philosophy
Your head is full of small things that matter. Call someone back. Remember an appointment. Know where you left something. Saga is here to make that easier.
Helping without taking over your day
A good assistant is ready when you need it. You don't have to keep the app open to get anything done. Just jot something down, find it again, or take care of it – and then move on.
We don’t want to add extra administration to your life. Instead, we want to create a place where loose ends come together: the person at an appointment, the note with a contact and the task you would otherwise forget.
No dark patterns
Saga is driven by the conviction that software should help you, without manipulating your choices. Dark patterns are designs that subtly push you in a certain direction, for example with pre-checked options, hidden costs, or a cancellation button that is difficult to find.
We want you to make a choice because it suits you. Therefore, refusing, stopping, and taking your data with you are treated with the same seriousness in the design as signing up and paying. A business model should not be a reason to make your choice unnecessarily difficult.
Personal remains personal
What you save can tell a lot about your life. That’s why we don’t sell your personal data or use it for ads. You should be able to understand what you share, with whom and why.
Collaborating requires clear boundaries. In Saga you can create a separate shared space, for example for your family. We call that a vault. What you put in there is available to the people who have access.
Sharing is also a real choice: what someone has already read, saved or copied cannot be undone remotely. That’s why we want you to know what happens before you share.
Help from AI, with your judgment included
You can ask the assistant in plain words to help. That’s useful if you want to quickly jot something down or find it again. But even a convincing answer can be incorrect. Always check important appointments and data.
For chat and voice, Saga uses external services. You can find which services these are and which data they process in our documents.
A fair choice to pay – or to stop
The basics remain usable without a paid subscription. For Chat & Voice you pay a clear amount. Automatic renewal is a choice you make yourself; it’s not a pre-ticked box.
Three days before your paid period ends, you will receive an email. It states whether your access will stop or be automatically renewed. Via a direct link, you can renew it yourself or turn off the automatic renewal. You do not need to keep track of the calendar yourself to be able to make an informed choice.
The freedom to take your data with you
Your life doesn’t fit in one app. That’s why you can import data and create your own export. Even if you later choose something else, your contacts, appointments and notes should remain usable.
The same principle applies to shared spaces: it should be clear in advance what remains with others when you leave a shared vault. We find it more important to be honest about such boundaries than to make a big, but unattainable promise.
Continuously improving, with care
Saga doesn’t have to be everything at once. We’re building a tool that is understandable, calm and reliable. Do you find something feels more complicated than it should, or are you missing a specific feature? Let us know via support@sagafor.me.
